The Stanford Women's Club Volleyball Team is hosting a series of fundraising grass volleyball tournaments this summer. The September tournament will take place on Saturday 9/3. Two separate formats will be offered : Men's 2s & Unisex Reverse-Coed 2s.
What is UNISEX Reverse-Coed 2s?
Reverse-coed games are played on a women's height net (7'4"). Women play as usual - hitting and blocking at the net. Men, however, must hit from behind the 10-foot-line and may never block. This format levels the playing field - making the game fun for both men and women. "Unisex" simply means that a team may comprise of two women, two men or a male/female pair.
For Men's 2s, do both players need to be male ?
No. While Men's 2s games will be played on men's height net, teams may comprise of 2 men, 2 women or a male/female pair. NOTE: Men's 2s competition is completely separate from Unisex Reverse-Coed 2s competition.
Each team will be scheduled for a minimum of 4 pool-play (round-robin) games. All teams will be given the opportunity to advance to afternoon playoffs (elimination bracket).
Prizes will be awarded to the Playoff Winners.
