The Stanford Women's Club Volleyball Team is hosting a series of fundraising grass volleyball tournaments. The 3rd tournament will take place on Sunday September 13th. Two separate formats will be offered: Reverse-Coed 2s and Unisex Reverse-Coed 4s. (Each player may choose to play in only one of the two formats because the two formats will take place simultaneously.)
What is UNISEX Reverse-Coed 4s?
Reverse-coed games are played on a women's height net (7'4"). Women play as usual - hitting and blocking at the net. Men, however, must hit from behind the 10-foot-line and may never block. This format levels the playing field - making the game fun for both men and women. "Unisex" simply means that a team may comprise of any ratio of men and women (including all men and all women).
Each team will be scheduled for a minimum of 4 pool-play (round-robin) games. All teams will be given the opportunity to advance to playoffs. Prizes will be awarded to 1st place team of each format (i.e. the playoff winners).
