VBmatch hosts several Indoor Volleyball Leagues in East Bay and San Francisco.
This is the information and registration page for the Monday Random-Draw Unisex Reverse-Coed 4s League in ALAMEDA. This league is co-hosted by VBmatch and Alameda Recreation & Parks Department (ARPD).
The new 8-week season starts on Monday, June 10, 2019.
The season includes 7 weeks of regular season games followed by PLAYOFF NIGHT on the last Monday (7/29).
FORMAT: Indoor Random-Draw Unisex Reverse-Coed 4s
Games are played on a women's net. Women play as usual - hitting and blocking at the net; men hit from 10-foot-line and may not block. Sign up individually or with one partner of either gender. For each regular season game (i.e. non-playoffs), you will play with random teammates. The random teams may consist of any combination of men and women (including all men or all women). The last week is playoffs. Playoff teams are formed by a selection process that starts with the highest ranked player.
LEVEL: The minimum skill level required is the equivalent of California High School Varsity Level. Players with prior doubles and reverse-coed experience are preferred. Because you will be playing 4s, good ball control is a must. You will be asked about your volleyball background and experience when you sign up and before your registration is accepted.

(The actual entry fee is due on-site on the first day of league).
League Time: Mondays 7:00pm to ~10:30pm. For regular season, you will be scheduled to play a minimum of three or four games each week (with different teammates). Games are rally-scoring to 25 (cap at 27).
League Duration: This League will run for eight (8) Mondays (6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22 & PLAYOFFS on 7/29) from 7:00pm to ~10:30pm. The final Monday (7/29) is PLAYOFF NIGHT.

NOTE: Space is limited, so we will send you an email after we receive your deposit to let you know if we can accept your entry. We will also ask about your volleyball experience and background. Good ball control is a MUST for this league. You are NOT officially registered until you receive a confirmation email from us.
LEAGUE CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note that we reserve the right to cancel the league at our sole discretion. In the event of cancellation, teams currently registered at that time will receive a pro-rated refund of the fees paid. The league may be cancelled for various reasons including, but not limited to: inclement weather; unavailability of the facilities/site for the tournament; inadequate number of entries; schedule conflicts of the tournament organizer; etc. In the unlikely event of a tournament cancellation, notification will be sent via email.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN AN ASSUMPTION OF RISKS / WAIVER OF CLAIMS / RELEASE OF LIABILITY / INDEMNITY / BINDING ARBITRATION / WAIVER OF STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS AGREEMENT (BEFORE YOU START PLAYING). A Junior Player must be 14-17 years-old and must have a signed parental consent / waiver form.

NOTE: If you cancel after a spot has been reserved for you, you will only receive a full refund if you cancel at least 7-days ahead of the league's start date. If you cancel less than 7-days ahead of the league, you will receive a refund less a $20 administration fee IF AND ONLY IF the league is full (i.e. sold out) AND we are able to find another player to replace you.
