VBmatch Grass Tournament R-Coed 2s & Men's 2s Location: Mills College's Soccer Field 5000 MacArthur Blvd Oakland 94613 Saturday, August 7th 9:30 - 10:00am Check-In (for Pre-Registered Players) Online Registration Closed On-Site Registration ACCEPTED from 9:00-9:30am VBmatch will host a grass volleyball tournament at Mills College on Saturday, August 7th. The tournament site is the well-groomed soccer field on Mill's campus - check out this satellite view of the field (left of the swimming pool). The formats and divisions include Reverse-Coed 2s (A and B divisions*) and Men's 2s. *A minimum of 4 teams is required for a division. What is Reverse-Coed? Reverse-coed games are played on a women's regulation height net. Women play as usual - hitting and blocking at the net. Men, however, must hit from behind the 10-foot-line and may never block. This format levels the playing field - making the game fun for both men and women. Click here for Reverse-Coed Doubles Rules. Each team will be scheduled for a minimum of 4 pool-play (round-robin) games. All teams will advance to playoffs. Cash Prizes will be awarded to playoff winners. For R-Coed 2s A division and Men's 2s, $9 from each team entry fee goes into the prize pot; for R-Coed 2s B division, $8 from each team entry fee goes into the prize pot. For doubles competition, second place prizes are awarded once the pot exceeds $100. * * * Please contact us if you need help finding a teammate. * * * Check-In from 9:30 to 10:00am for teams that pre-registered online. Teams registering On-Site must do so between 9:00 to 9:30am. Refund Policy for Cancellations, Defaults, and No-Shows: If you cancel by 8/4, you will receive a full refund of the fees you paid. If you cancel by 10am on 8/6, you will only receive a refund of half of the fees you paid. If you cancel less than 24-hours ahead of the tournament, default by checking-in more than 20-minutes late or simply fail to show up, you will forfeit all the fees you paid. In the event of cancellation, all players currently registered at that time will receive a full refund of their paid deposits. The tournament may be canceled for various reasons including, but not limited to: inclement weather; unavailability of the facilities/site for the tournament; inadequate number of entries; schedule conflicts of the tournament organizer; etc. In the unlikely event of a tournament cancellation, all registered players will be notified.
