VBmatch will host an indoor Optional Power-Coed 6s volleyball tournament on March 13, 2010 (Saturday).
The tournament format is "Optional Power-Coed 6s." This means that games are played on a men's height net and a team may play with either 4 men & 2 women or 3 men & 3 women on the court. There is neither a male-contact rule nor a female-contact rule for this tournament.
In order to level the playing field between teams with 4 men and teams with 3 men, a SPECIAL Back-Row Block-Assist Rule will be used. Teams with 4 men may NEVER use Back-Row Block Assist. Teams with 3 men may ALWAYS bring ALL their men up to block. In other words, for a team with 3 men, when 2 men are in front row, the back-row man may come up to block; when 1 man is in front row, BOTH of the back-row men may come up to block. The maximum number of players for a simultaneous block is three (e.g. a team may not have 3 men plus 1 woman block simultaneously).
Each team will be scheduled to play a minimum of 4 pool-play games. All teams advance to playoffs.
Target Gift Cards will be awarded to the winning team (minimum $60 total in gift cards is guaranteed for the winning team).
Sign up by Tuesday March 9th to get the early pre-registration rate of $23-per-player or $138-per-team. Thereafter, the regular pre-registration rate is $26-per-player or $156-per-team.
NOTE: Teams must pay an extra $5 for each additional player on their roster beyond the first 6. Our insurance premium is based on the total number of participants.

TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note that we reserve the right to cancel the tournament at our sole discretion. In the event of cancellation, all players currently registered at that time will receive a full refund of the fees paid. The tournament may be canceled for various reasons including, but not limited to: inclement weather; unavailability of the facilities/site for the tournament; inadequate number of entries; schedule conflicts of the tournament organizer; etc. In the unlikely event of a tournament cancellation, notification will be sent via email.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN AN ASSUMPTION OF RISKS / WAIVER OF CLAIMS / RELEASE OF LIABILITY / INDEMNITY / BINDING ARBITRATION / WAIVER OF STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS AGREEMENT ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT (BEFORE YOU START PLAYING). Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to see this Agreement before the day of the tournament. A Junior Player must be 14-17 years-old and must have a signed parental consent / waiver form.

NOTE: If you cancel after a spot has been reserved for you, you will only receive a full refund if you cancel at least 5-days ahead of the tournament you registered for. If you cancel less than 5-days ahead of the tournament, you will receive a refund less a $20 administration fee IF AND ONLY IF the tournament is full (i.e. sold out) AND we are able to find a team to replace your team.
